I am an independent French dance artist based in London.
Initially trained in ballet and modern jazz, I studied English and Theatre at university, completed an Acting degree at the Central School of Speech and Drama, worked in physical theatre, before dedicating myself entirely to dance and movement.
My MA at The Place, London Contemporary Dance School, focused equally on performing, choreographing and teaching, three areas that I keep on developing. My approach is both technical and playful, influenced by somatics and Eastern movement philosophies, while retaining a taste for the theatrical. I love working with or for musicians, DJ's and sound artists, and mix my own music too.
My 20-year career spans across dance, theatre, opera, film, site-specific and multimedia performance, small and large scale, embracing the avant-garde and experimental as well as the mainstream and commercial.
My works as a choreographer have shown at Sadler's Wells, the Riverside Studios, The Place, Cloud Dance Festival and Barcelona's Teatro Mercat de les Flors, among other venues and platforms.
I have been comissioned by Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, Royal Academy of Music, and SIB Dance Lab/Kunstbanken (Norway), and worked as assistant choreographer to Arthur Pita in 2011-2013.
In 2014-2015 I received a Dance UK Choreographer To Choreographer Award to engage with Charlotte Vincent, observe her at work and reflect on my own process.
Nowadays I focus on choreography and movement direction, with a particular interest in collaborations, and leading workshops or facilitating research in a range of contexts. I am an Artist Member and Trustee of the Board at Chisenhale Dance Space, and you'll also find me on the team at Yogahome, a busy yoga studio in East London!
