The Hugging Project is a site-responsive performance-installation about human connection, loss and perseverance, based on the act of hugging. It is a choreographed intervention in outdoor or indoor spaces, performed in the spirit of a meditative live-art work or a flash mob. It lends itself well to participation and involving local communities.
Hold each other, let go, try to keep it up, carry on, carry on, never let go. As a living work evolving with each version, it is available for festivals, residencies, community events and touring. |
